The first I heard of this build, I honestly thought it was fake. I'd seen the naming conventions used in the Fallout 4 and 76 debug builds, and due to both minor differences, and a lack of information such as file sizes in the image below, I dismissed it as a fake.

Well, as it turns out, that assumption was wrong. If I had believed it I may have pushed harder to try and get it, but it only took me a few months to obtain the files, so not much of a loss.

One difference to the retail game can be seen immediately, with the game using a different video for the main menu background. Unfortunately, the differences seen in the older leaked Starfield screenshots, and the original gameplay trailer have already been changed to match the retail game. The largest differences in game you'll come across are a few differences in general clutter, and areas with unfinished lighting. I've included a few comparison shots below of things I discovered, to give you an idea of what you might see in this build, but do note that much of the game is identical to the retail version.

As is true of the other Bethesda debug builds (and the Creation Kits, funnily enough), this version will happily connect to the Havok Visual Debugger, which has been made available alongside the release for your convenience.
