What's This Site For?
I love video games, and I find the work that goes into their creation fascinating. I also worry about how much of that history is at risk of being lost forever. This site is my effort to do something about that, by preserving and sharing what I reasonably can from my personal archives.
Archiving
I work to save every scrap of a game's history I can find, and I try to make it as easy as possible for anyone to explore this stuff.
Research
I don't just dump files. I spend a lot of time digging through what I find, comparing versions, and writing up what makes each release unique.
Open Access
I believe history belongs to everyone. My collection is always open without paywalls or signups, just pure data.
Open Tools
I like writing code, and I believe in open source. If I can find out more about how a game ticks, I want that knowledge to be accessible.
Recovery & Preservation
If you have something you think I should see, or if you want to help out in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always looking for dev builds, hardware, or leads on rare items. Even if you just want to say hi, I'd love to hear from you.
